May 2015: President’s Corner

Hello Members & Friends,

We are getting very exciting for the spring to come and it has been warming up lately! I got all of my outdoor stuff and a grill out on my porch! I believe you did the same!

It is my pleasure to say that we have amazing members at PAD; I am so exciting of what we have done in past 4 months, big successful events and with the DeafNation Expo weekend. Those events were very successful due to our teamwork and efforts! Thank you! I am looking forward for more coming up!

The Active member just approved PAD to order Point Of Sale cashier (computer) program. It is newest product that will serve us better and with the technology. We needed to catch up with modern days!

It is a reminder to renew your 2015 membership dues to keep us with our club’s expenses and please see Alex Lemanski.

Please try to attend PAD and GPCCD events in future. Come and see our new face of friends. Please try to come our active meeting on May 9th, June 13th, and July 11th at 7:30 PM. Let’s join us, to discuss about improving our club needs, How to attract new members, and share your ideas for our fund-raising plans.

Tri State Deaf Poker

We will be hosting 2nd Annual Tri-State Deaf Poker Tourney

When: Saturday April 11th 2015

Time: Club opens at 11:30 am Start play at 1 pm

Kitchen will be open to sell food.

Everyone is invited to watch or play. To play poker must be Deaf or CODA or SODA.

The Deaf Club – Official Trailer movie

The Deaf Club – Official Trailer (HD). Deaf people have it all – friends, romance, fights, etc. – at their own club, where everyone uses sign language. Suddenly something is bad happening at deaf clubhouse….

Rustic Lantern Films is proud to release the official trailer for the upcoming movie, The Deaf Club! The movie will be shown for the very first time at the Red Carpet event at Greater St. Louis Association of the Deaf. This community movie will release on Spring/Fall 2015 at selected local deaf clubhouse.

Interpreters at Home and Garden Show

Interpreters at the Home & Garden Show this weekend!

March 7– Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.00 adults & $4.00 Children 6-12.

Interpreters will be available from 11:00am-9:00pm for stage presentations and exhibitor one-on-one conversations.

The Interpreter desk will be set up on the second level just to the right of the escalators.
