Welcome to new PAD website

Welcome to fresh look of new Pittsburgh Association of the Deaf clubhouse site. This is the first of a kind to have an application tool for our PAD organization.

You will notice this site is powered by WordPress (see the footer far below in end of the page). WordPress is free web application publishing system to manage and publish the web site.

My goal is to have few PAD active members who are familiar with web terminology, to get a taste with WordPress, train and learn how to manage the pages in WordPress to make user-interface friendly and have members take their responsible to control the information in PAD web site instantly.

You might see some familiar information were taken from old web site. The newest and awesome tool feature in new web site is PAD album photos. All of those photos are stored in Flickr, popular web photo sharing site. Flickr and WordPress have powerful plug-in application which Flickr can feed the gallery photos directly into PAD web site, so the users can browse the photos inside PAD web site and find the larger than life-sized slideshow here!

Another new feature is Event Calendar (see on right side bar), allows to display the upcoming events in a dynamic calendar, click highlighted box of the calendar day to view the listings of individual event information in a page, exclusively on PAD web site.
